Welcome to our online home of Somatic Experiencing Practitioners in Aotearoa | New Zealand. We’re excited to have you join our growing network of practitioners!
This guide will help you complete your registration on our website quickly and smoothly.
Registration Eligibility
Registration on our Practitioner Directory is open to practitioners who have completed at least the first year of SE training (Beginning modules). SE students in their Beginning year can sign up to enjoy other registration benefits and will be eligible for a directory listing once they have attended an Intermediate module.
Registration Benefits
All practitioners who register enjoy:
- A 25% discount on quarterly SE Community case consultations, which are led by SEI approved Small Group Case Consultation Providers within our SE Aotearoa | New Zealand community.
- Discounts on events advertised on the website (subject to the organiser’s approval)
In addition, practitioners become eligible for a listing on the online Practitioner Directory once they start their Intermediate training. This directory is designed to help potential clients locate a practitioner who includes Somatic Experiencing (SE) in their therapeutic, coaching or counselling services. Practitioners listed on the directory gain additional benefits:
- Opportunities to advertise SE-related workshops and events.
- The chance to contribute SE-related articles, blogs or other research for inclusion on the website
- Participation in ‘showcases’ of specific services or areas of work (in development)
Registration Period and Fees
The listing period runs from 1 November to 31 October.
Practitioners who register before 1 November 2025 will receive additional free listing time until the official start of the registration year.

Registration fees are payable at the beginning of the registration year. If you join during the registration period, you will be billed a pro rata amount.

Client-Practitioner Relationship
The Community provides this platform to connect practitioners with potential clients but does not guarantee outcomes or endorse specific practices.
Practitioners are fully responsible for the quality and outcomes of their services. We encourage you to communicate clearly with clients about your approach, qualifications, and boundaries to ensure a professional and safe working relationship.
The Community and its administrators are not liable for any actions, decisions, or outcomes resulting from practitioner-client interactions. Disputes or issues between practitioners and clients are strictly between those parties, and administrators cannot mediate or resolve complaints
If you feel you are no longer a good fit for a client or the work exceeds your scope, we encourage you to make a referral to another practitioner.
Listing Process
Please complete the application form thoroughly.
We recommend you answer the questions offline, and then cut and paste your answers into the form. It’s rare, but sometimes things can go wonky with your browser, and we don’t want you to lose your hard work!
Once you’ve submitted your form, Lawrence Prior will send you payment details. Your listing will be made live when your payment has been confirmed and the information on your form and accompanying documents have been verified by Brenda Wille.
Please note we will need a copy of your SEP certificate or proof of training enrolment and confirmation of your assisting, session and case consult provider status (where appropriate).
